Financial Policy
It is the purpose of the School Board of the Needles SDA Christian School to keep the cost as low as is consistent with good Christian stewardship. The SDA school board reserves the right to adjust rates and fees charged at any time in order to meet changing economic conditions.
Tuition is based on an 11-month billing system. The first payment is due at registration in August. The remaining 10 payments are due by the 10th of each month, starting in September and the last payment due by the 10th of June. Late fees are accrued if payment is not received by the 10th of each month. Any account not paid in full each month without a prearranged agreement with the school board will result in dismissal of the student from the following regularly scheduled school day until the account has been settled.
Both SDA and non-SDA student families pay $300 a month, and $200 for registration. However, if there is an SDA parent/guardian/sponsor the student may be eligible for a student discount, and/or a low-income scholarship.
Additional Fees:
1. Marring school property: replacement charge if not fixable
2. Marring school textbooks: replacement cost
3. Returned check fee is $25 for each returned check
4. Late tuition fee after the 10th of the month: $15
Family Discount:
A 10% discount per child is given on each month’s tuition for families with two or more students.
By registering a student at the Needles SDA Christian School, the parent/guardian agrees to abide by the school guidelines, as well as the judgment of the school board, as it applies to standards of dress and the conduct of their children. Furthermore, such registration implies a promise to meet, on time, the financial obligations that accrue with regard to tuition, fee, or other applicable charges approved by the school board.
Tuition Assistance Programs
ASSIST
Students in the ASSIST program provide help to senior citizens by performing light housecleaning and/or yard work. They also have fun with their elderly friends through activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. As the young people build generational bridges, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education.
Not only are these students developing skills needed to be successful—commitment, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and collaboration—they are also learning the value of service.

PFE (Partnering for Eternity)
Students in the PFE program, along with their parents, bring joy to the lives of senior citizens through fun activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. When appropriate, they may also provide light housework. As the young people build generational bridges and learn the value of service, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education.
